Prof.(Dr.) D.D. Shukla

Prof. (Dr.) D.D. Shukla holds the degree of Bachelor of Engineering, Master of Engineering in Mechanical Machine Design with First Class Distinction and is a doctorate in Mechanical Engineering which specialization in Investment Casting. He has a rich experience of working for twenty two years in the industry and academics, out of which nine years in the industry as a planning manager with ESSAR Steel Ltd. and thirteen years in the academic field as Principal, Head of the Department and Dean with various renowned institutions.

Dr. Shukla is currently associated with Amity University Rajasthan as Director of Amity School of Engineering & Technology, having more than three thousand students spanning various graduate, post graduate and PhD programmes in various areas like Chemical, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical and Automation, Civil, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, etc. He is the Head for Amity Innovation Incubator, Chief Examination Superintendent, NAAC steering committee member, member of internal quality assurance cell (IQAC) to develop quality system for the improvement of academic and administrative performance of the University.

He is an academic leader and has established himself as an innovative and effective administrator. A renowned administrator and academician, Prof. Shukla has published more than thirty research papers in national and international journals of repute, participated in various conferences, seminars and workshops and has delivered more than twenty key note addresses at national and international level. Dr. Shukla has organized more than fifty seminars, workshops and training courses. He is registered as a PhD guide with five reputed universities and is currently guiding five research scholars.

He has been awarded with 12 National and International awards for his contribution for the excellence in academics. He has also worked with Specialized Skill Development Centre Projects with the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED-Government of Gujarat), GEDA(Gujarat Energy Development Agency) and GUJCOST(Gujarat Council on Science and Technology), sponsored programs. He also initiated and signed MOU with world best institutes like RMIT, Australia, Flinders University, Australia, Fanshawe College, CANADA and University of Greenwich, UK, Imperial College London and Wroclaw University, POLAND.
